Your senses will awaken to the sound of water from the Uinta River as it makes its way through the U-Bar carrying fresh water trout and inviting wild life to come be refreshed. The mountain peaks surrounding the U-Bar command peace and tranquility. From the crisp mountain air to the feeling of solitude, you will be enfolded in the finest Nature offers.
Our log cabins were originally built in the 1930’s from strong lodge pole pine. They have been renovated with period furniture including tables and chairs for a friendly card game and very comfortable beds perfect for a great night’s sleep. Each cabin is complimented by an outside fire pit and picnic table.
Delicious home cooked meals are served in our lodge where you are greeted in the dining room by large French windows which frame wild birds as well as the beautiful surroundings. Gather round the fireplace in the sitting area of the lodge with a warm drink and dessert to relive the day’s activities.
A large deck in the front of the lodge will beckon you with porch swings, perfect for reading that book you just haven’t found time to enjoy. There are also picnic tables for those who would like to have meals out of doors. As night falls, gather round the bonfire for s’mores!
Within walking distance of the cabins, you will find the Uinta River, ponds and springs to fish. We boast some of the finest fishing in the West. You may choose to fish by yourself or enjoy one of our expert fishing guide’s instruction. Be sure to save your appetite so that you can enjoy your catch for dinner!
There are many well-marked hiking trails for those enthusiasts who love to explore.
For horse lovers, enjoy the old West on the back of one of our beautiful steeds. Our guides will take you on wondrous trails while explaining the history of the surroundings. Choose from a one hour or an all day tour.
